Technology Description
Our core technology is based on Metal-Semiconductor-Metal (MSM) diode, invented at Carnegie Mellon University. For RF energy harvesting, our diode can achieve significantly higher efficiency than any other diodes at ambient RF power level (30-50% vs. under 1%). With its unique broadband capability (100 MHz – 100 GHz), our harvester can harvest multiple RF signals simultaneously without frequency tuning. Our harvester consists of MSM diode-based integrated circuit, antenna and power management module. It works like a solar panel for ambient RF signals (cellular/Wi-Fi/TV/radio) and can generate DC outputs to recharge / replace batteries, which significantly reduces replacement cost for batteries.
