Goldilocks VUE is a cost-effective vegetation management solution for utilities. The solution has three parts. First, aerial imagery is captured using weather balloons. Weather balloons combine the advantages of satellites (a vast coverage area) with the advantages of drones (frequent and low cost per launch). Second, VIA’s TAC™ system allows AI to be trained across multiple utilities without the need to physically transfer files and it maintains the privacy of each utility. Better data and larger, combined datasets improve AI accuracy. Third, AI is used to analyze the images and identify high risk areas.

Amperon analyzes advanced metering data, historic patterns,and weather feeds to build real-time electricity demand forecasts. Amperon currently focuses on grid-scale load forecasting for day-ahead planning for retail energy providers and institutional traders, but plans to move into premise-by-premise demand forecasting to enable more advanced applications,including distributed energy storage operations, renewables firming, peak shaving, and demand response. Customers can log in to a SaaS dashboard for interactive visualizations of grid-scale and per-meter electricity forecasts at hourly intervals. Amperon plans to add capability to schedule customized peak-shaving profiles per premise to this application.
